Blubbering like an idiot, I watch and listen as the words of a song written by a 20-year old with cancer fill the Mall of America, hundreds of voices strong. The worst part, he's not there to see it. People sing these beautiful refrains "up, up, up" about the fears and hopes that this young man faced when he knew that he only had so much time left.
The strength and love and energy it took to write and sing this song are immense. The strength of those he left behind to sing his song is extraordinary.
Beautiful. Heart-wrenching and heartwarming at the same time.
A delicate tightrope we walk between life and death. Let's make every moment count.
